I gotta say......I sure have two amazing kiddos!

With Josh being gone this week, I was going into this week kind of nervous with the amount of responsibility I would have to take on alone. I do have to say though that my kids are amazing and just overall.......awesome! Nathan has turned into mommy's little helper this week. I get him up first in the morning and he knows exactly what he needs to do, he grabs his backpack for daycare and even takes it out to the car for me. He reminds me to wake up "baby" also known as Lindsey, even though I wouldnt forget her, he makes sure I always think of her too haha! Each night they have been going right to bed without any problems, they have been in great moods, and the best part of my day is in the early morning waking them up and seeing them light up when they see me, makes me feel soooooo loved by them! Thats why I can tell the world, my kids are amazing! They amaze me more and more everyday and are turning into truly amazing people. I cant wait to see what they grow up to be and what their personalities turn into. XOXO!

Pretty little toes.........

Last night as I was leaving work I got a text from our daycare lady Tara saying that she painted Lindseys toe nails light purple. This was Lindseys first nail polish experience and it looks adorable. TOO CUTE! Our daycare lady doesnt have any girls of her own, so spoils mine like she is her own. Lindsey is getting too big, I just cant believe all the changes that she is going through and how mobile she is all the time, next is walking, AHHHH!! Anyhow, I tried to take some cute pics of her toes, but if anyone has had a ten month old, they know that they NEVER sit still. Sorry if they dont show up too clear in the pics, I tried hehe!

Going on a biking adventure.......

Over the past weekend, Josh and I went to the store and bought ourselves bikes and a trailer to pull the kids with us. HOW FUN! The first night we got them, we put everything together and went out with my mom and dad on a six mile bike ride. Poor Josh was dying since not only did he have to ride himself, but he also had a 35lb son, 20lb daughter, and the weight of the trailer. Overall, it was a great investment and we will be using it tons as the weather cools off from 100 to maybe 90 hehe! The kids had a great time and now Nathan says "bike" everytime we go outside and he sees them. Im looking forward to going further each ride, maybe we will hit the 100 miles ride mark sometime.......

Cookie Monster!!

So, this past weekend, my mom decided to make chocolate chip cookies for everyone! Nathan got up from his nap and we decided to spoil him and give him a small cookie. UGH! He ended up eating the one, and then sneaking about two more. When I would go over to him to attempt to take them away from him, he would throw a HUGE fit and shove the entire cookie into his mouth, the crumbs went to the floor, he walked through the crumbs, and then decided to play with the chocolate. Long story short, he was a mess and on a sugar high for about 10 hours. Oh, the fun! Lesson learned: hide the cookies from a two year old cookie monster!!!

Dinner in Weston, TX

Last night, the family all went out to Weston, TX for some YUMMY dinner. A while back, before Josh and I were married, only engaged, we used to have family dinners at a diner called Gracie's. It was sooooooooo good, and really cheap! It was where you could get a ton of food for next to nothing. It is located way out in the middle of nowhere, which is awesome! Unfortunately, it got closed down. Luckily for us though, another diner moved in, which was the same food and prices, but new name and a few more menu options. Anyhow, we all went there last night and it was DELICIOUS! I had the smoked brisket and it was amazing! Tons of food (which I love) for a low price (again, which I love)!! It was great being able to get together with everone, catch up, and enjoy the evening. The kids behaved themselved wonderfully, although Lindsey LOVES to hear herself these days and screams just to hear herself, but other then that...it was a lot of fun! Nathan was able to see the horses, goats, cows, etc as we made the drive up there and he kept saying "mooooooo" after the cows hehe! All in all, it was a great evening filled with fun!

Rise and Shine little babies......

Each morning, I am in charge of getting the troops out the door. They are too cute and I have to admit, I totally love the job of waking them up and getting them dressed. Nathan gets this goofy grin on his face and runs around his room, or he pretends to be sound asleep and acts as though I cannot get him up, either way is priceless haha! As for Lindsey, she is our live wire. She is throwing toys out of her crib, talking and screaming for attention, standing up and jumping, or just silently standing there until the door opens to greet me with a HUGE smile. I love all of it! This morning, she opted to throw herself backwards and start kicking her legs and throwing her body everywhere while screaming "da-da" haha! Reminded me of a certain two year olds temper tantrums, only she wasnt mad!!

Dinner Time!!

In our house, dinner time can either be enjoyable and relaxing, or chaotic and stressful. It really depends on the kids moods, if they like the food in front of them, etc. Both babies are getting so big. Nathan is feeding himself, more like feeding the floor with himself getting a bite or two, but either way, being a big boy. As for Lindsey, she too is learning how to eat on her own. Lindsey is now up to about six teeth and prefers real food over baby food. Nathan, of course, has a full set of teeth and is our little garbage disposal. He eats anything and everything, even down to a bug on the floor, ugh! They have sure taught me patience over the past few months while I learn that although there is a mess all over my floor, they need to learn and I need to stop being overly anal on the cleaning as they drop something, hehe! We'll see how that goes......gotta love dirt devils......!
